ASTORIA FINANCIAL CORP ($AF): John R. Chrin Replaces Retired Director Leo J. Waters
At meetings of the Boards of Directors of Astoria Financial Corporation (the "Company") and its wholly owned subsidiary, Astoria Federal Savings and Loan Association (the "Association") held on November 18, 2009, the Boards of Directors of the Company and the Association each elected Mr. John R. Chrin effective December 16, 2009 to fill the vacant seat created by the retirement of Leo J. Waters, effective on the close of the regular Board of Directors' meetings held on November 18, 2009, due to his having reached mandatory retirement.
